Kanha Tiger Reserve is visited by tourists from all over the world and has a very good tourism infrastructure but still it has saved its old world and forest charm to a large extent. Kanha has hotels and resorts for all budgets. In Kanha national park tourism is conducted in 4 zones – Kanha, Kisli, Mukki and Sarhi. Other zones are closed for tourism and left mostly undisturbed except for scientific research and forest management. All the zones are good for spotting a Tiger but we suggest Kanha, Sarhi, Kisli and Mukki in order of preference for jungle excursions.

Best time / season to visit Kanha: October to mid December and mid January to May.

Kanha is open for tourism for 8 and half months. Tourism is not conducted in 3 and half months of monsoon period.

Climate: Winters: Minimum temperature can go down to sub zero especially in late December and early January. In summers maximum temperature can go up to 42 degrees centigrade. It is pretty cold in the mornings and is advisable to carry warm clothes from mid November till mid march.
Tiger Wildlife Safari: Safaris in Kanha start from 16th October till end of June. It is advisable to book your safari permit online or through your accommodation provider well in advance. Safaris are conducted in open Gypsy with maximum 6 persons aged 5 years and more. Online safari permit booking can be done directly through MP online website also. The adventureof spotting a free roaming Tiger and other wild animals will keep you enthralled for the whole safari and you will return spellbound with Kanha in your memory for ever and surely visit us again.
